On your marks, get set, bake!

The Four Ale tap Room in Gosport is running a themed Great British Bake Off-style event on Sunday 31st March. Keen cooks are invited to bake their very best hot cross buns and bring them to this popular craft beer bar at 12 noon for judging. Don’t worry if you burn everything you make as the tap room’s Cheese Club will also be running.

An egg-citing search at Spinny Wood

Lunar Events is hosting a family-friendly Easter egg hunt on Monday 1st April. The adventure starts at 10am at Spinny Wood on Copse Lane in Gosport, before decamping to The Rolling Scones Café for refreshments and an egg decorating craft activity.

Go potty at a themed ceramics workshop

Local ceramicist, Ali Pacey, is running two Easter-themed pottery workshops during the school holidays. Join Ali on 2nd April at Little Piggies in Bognor Regis or on 4th April at Boston Tea Party in Chichester. Both sessions start at 10am, and are aimed at children aged between 3 and 13. Participants will be able to paint mini bunnies, egg cups and rimmed plates.

Life’s a beach for under 12s

Wild Beach Easter holidays sessions will be running every day between 2nd and 5th April at West Beach, Littlehampton, starting at 9am and ending at 1pm. Children aged between 5 and 11 can engage in fun activities, including scavenger hunts, kite flying/making, beach games, wild art, natural crafts and paddling in the shallows.

Something for everyone at Weald & Downland

The Weald & Downland Living Museum in Singleton, Chichester, has a full programme of events running between 29th March and 14th April. There’s an Easter egg trail around the 40 acre site, arts and craft activities, a medieval puppet show, folklore storytelling, a cabinet of curiosities, baking demonstrations (featuring fresh hot cross buns) and other have-a-go activities.

Easter Eggstravaganza at Aldingbourne

Aldingbourne Country Centre in Norton, Chichester, is also running daily events between 29th March and 14th April. Its programme is filled with fun events, including a whole field of bouncy castles, alpaca strolls, Easter egg hunts, guinea pig snuggling, tractor rides, balloon and bubble workshops, dress-up discos, pony pamper sessions and falconry displays.

Bunny crafts? Hop to it!

Luna + Lion is collaborating with @faycreates and @creativebeatzjam to host a kids’ craft event at the new Jam Cafe in Chichester. The session, which runs on 2nd April at 10am and is aimed at children aged between 3 and 5 years old, will encourage little ones to paint and make their own bunny bunting to hang up in their home. Refreshments will be available for parents and carers.

Spring into action at the Makerspace fair

The Bognor Makerspace in Bognor Regis is holding its popular Spring Fair on 6th April, between 10am and 3pm. Expect gift and craft stalls, refreshments, a raffle and tombola, a town crier bell ringing competition, open mike sessions and children’s activities, including step-by-step sewing and sun catcher making.
