Halloween truly marks the start of the dark, winter nights…but that’s even more reason to celebrate the spooky season! With so many events happening in West Sussex, we’ve rounded up some of the best to ensure you have a ghoulishly good time.

Shocktober Fest and Pumpkin Festival, various dates, Tulley’s Farm

If you’re a true fan of Halloween, then you can’t pass up an opportunity to visit Tulley’s Farm in Crawley, home to the famous Shocktober Fest. Not for the faint-hearted, this immersive experience has repeatedly won the UK’s number one Halloween attraction. Tulley’s is also home to the UK’s number one pumpkin festival. As well as choosing your own pumpkin, you can take advantage of the many photo opportunities – and their new Pumpkin Bar!

Halloween Happy Hauntings, Saturday 22nd – Sunday 30th October, Fisher’s Farm Park

Fisher’s Farm Park has a jam-packed, interactive Halloween experience for little monsters of all ages. There’s also plenty of other activities to keep the family entertained if they’re not in the mood to be spooked!

Pumpkin Fest, Tuesday 25th October, Chichester

The Woodland Wonders Forest School is hosting a half-term Halloween drop-off session for those aged between 5 and 12 years old. There will be plenty for them to do, from pumpkin carving to cooking snacks over a fire and meeting farm animals.

Halloween Evening, Saturday 29th October, Amberley Museum

For a truly spook-tacular experience, you could join the Halloween Evening at Amberley Museum where you’ll get to ride on a ghost train, explore the museum after dark and head out on a ghost walk. Don’t forget your torch! No children under 12 years old and dogs cannot be accommodated.

Halloween Disco for Kids, Monday 31st October, Shoreham

If all the sweets from trick or treating has left your children with too much energy, they can always dance it off at the Halloween Disco! Non-walkers are free.

Rogate Pumpkin Patch, until Sunday 30th October

The team at Rogate have created a number of attractions and installations to add a bit of magic to your pumpkin picking. With fun games, a spooky sunflower trail and lots of street food to sample, it’s an enchanting day for visitors of all ages.

Kids Halloween Party, Sunday 30th October, Seasons, Bognor Regis

An annual Halloween Party for children, complete with games. Tickets cost £5 a child, with adults and under ones free.

Hallow’s Week Workshop, Monday 24th – Friday 28th October, Crawley

This half-term theatrical workshop offers those between the ages of 8 to 18 the chance to learn more about all aspects of being on stage, with a Hocus-Pocus inspired performance for friends and family at end of the week.

Arundel Jailhouse, various dates

Built in 1836, Arundel Jailhouse is apparently home to a number of resident ghosts and paranormal activity. It’s not just restricted to Halloween either. As an incredibly unique entertainment venue, you’ll find live music and comedy nights as well as regular murder mystery evenings.

Halloween Family Fun, Sunday 30th October, Bognor Regis

There will be both tricks and treats to be found at Barnham Community Hall. With a fancy dress competition, face painting, disco and a magician, it will be fun for all the family.

Halloween half-term, Saturday 22nd – Sunday 30th October, Sky Park Farm

If you’re looking to get your little gremlins in the great outdoors this half term, then Sky Park Farm has a packed schedule. In addition to the grand opening of Tree Top Towers on Monday 24th October, you can book a place at Monster School or join in with a Monster Hunt.

Dotty Bumble Family Halloween Party, Friday 28th October, Arun Leisure Centre

With Halloween-themed arts and crafts, costume competition, face painting and more, this is a great opportunity to meet other families and carers in the area, all while having some fun!

Kids’ Halloween Ghost Hunt, various dates, Bognor Regis Museum

The local museum in Bognor Regis is hosting several ghost hunts over the half term, free to children up to the age of 12. Find all the ghosts and win a treat!
